Abstract
========

Franson GpsGate Server is a framework for building realtime online position sharing websites.


System Requirements
===================

- Windows XP SP2, Windows 2003 SP1 or Windows 2000 SP4. 
- Internet Information Services (IIS) 5.0 or above. 
- Microsoft .NET Framework Version 2.0. 
- MySQL Server 4.1 or 5.0. 
- MySQL:s ODBC-connector driver v3.51. 
- Microsoft Data Access Components (MDAC) 2.6

- The web browsers that are currently supported are Internet Explorer 6 and 7 and Mozilla Firefox. 
  - Opera and Safari 3.0 generally work but are not part of the current test-suite.
  - Please note that if you're installing GpsGate Server on Win2000 the default browser is IE 5.0, and 
    to have a successful install you will need to use a newer version of IE or Firefox. 
		

Getting Started
===============

Unzip the downloaded files to a position of your choice (though not a mapped drive), open the Manual for 
GpsGate Server 1.2 and read the instructions. Then start the GpsGate Installation Wizard by clicking install.exe

- Dedicated Server installation
Start the install wizard found at: /DedicatedServer/install.exe 

- Shared Host installation
Follow the instructions found at: http://franson.com/forum/forum.asp?FORUM_ID=31
Shared hosting uses the files found in the /SharedHosting folder.
